IFRS16 Lease Accounting Engine turns lessee lease accounting into a repeatable Odoo workflow: enter the lease terms and its payment schedule, generate the amortization schedule automatically, and post period-by-period journal entries with a single click. Remeasurement and early termination are handled by dedicated wizards, so rate resets, rent changes and early exits are booked correctly and left with a full audit trail.

Flexible Lease Contracts
Set up fixed, escalating or stepped rent schedules with monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual payment frequency, an annual discount rate, and arrears or advance payment timing.
Automatic Liability & ROU Measurement
At commencement, the lease liability is measured as the present value of future payments, and the right-of-use asset as that liability plus initial direct costs minus lease incentives received.
Full Amortization Schedule
The ifrs16.lease.line schedule tracks opening balance, interest expense, principal repayment and closing balance for the liability, alongside straight-line ROU depreciation, period by period.
One-Click Period Posting
Post interest expense, principal repayment and ROU depreciation as balanced journal entries one period at a time, or catch up every past-due period in one action, fully reversible while in draft.
Remeasurement Wizard
When a future payment or the discount rate changes, recalculate the remaining lease liability and adjust the ROU asset accordingly, per IFRS16.42-46, with any excess booked to profit and loss and logged.
Early Termination Wizard
Derecognize the remaining lease liability and ROU carrying value, net any termination fee paid, and post the resulting gain or loss automatically.
Current / Non-Current Liability Split
The outstanding lease liability is automatically split into a current portion and a non-current portion for balance sheet presentation.
Deterministic Calculation Engine
All present-value, amortization, remeasurement and termination math runs in a pure-python, database-free service module covering both arrears and advance payment timing.
