Papaya POS Connector
Every Papaya receipt as a native Odoo POS order - near real time, with stock and VAT
Why This Module?
Papaya POS (papayapos.sk) rings up sales in restaurants, cafes and shops across Slovakia. The receipts stay in Papaya - while stock, purchasing, reporting and accounting live in Odoo. The usual result is a spreadsheet at the end of the month and inventory that never matches reality.
This module closes that gap through the Papaya REST API. Every receipt becomes a real pos.order in the point of sale you choose - with lines, quantities, VAT, payment and a stock write-off. From then on your Odoo reporting, stock and margins are built on the sales that actually happened.

Features
Near Real-Time Import
A scheduled job pulls new receipts every 10 minutes (interval is yours to change) and creates POS orders. A manual "Sync now" button is always there.
Full History Backfill
Import years of Papaya sales in the background, day by day, with progress you can watch and stop. It survives a restart and picks up where it stopped.
Exact Product Matching
Receipt lines are matched by the Papaya item identifier stored on the product, not by name. Missing products can be created automatically as POS products.
VAT and Refunds
The VAT rate of every line is mapped to the matching sale tax of your company. Refunds arrive as negative lines, so daily totals stay correct.
Stock Write-Off
New sales move stock through the standard Odoo POS picking, so inventory follows the cash register without a single manual adjustment.
Safe With Your Sessions
The import never closes a session opened by a cashier. If one is in the way, it stops and tells you - your POS day is never yanked from under you.

One-way import: Papaya → Odoo. Nothing is ever written back to Papaya.
How It Works
- Install the module and open Settings → Point of Sale → Papaya POS
- Enter the Base URL and API token from your Papaya administration and pick the target point of sale
- Click Test connection
- Choose the session mode and how products should be matched or created
- Run Sync now, or import a date range of past sales
- Enable the scheduled import - from there it runs on its own
Under the Hood
- Idempotent by design - receipts are keyed by Papaya txUuid and protected by a unique index, so any import is safe to repeat
- Per-receipt savepoints - one broken receipt never kills the batch, it is logged and counted
- Daily batches - large ranges are processed day by day, backfill commits its progress
- Timezone aware - sales after midnight land in the right sale day, not in the previous UTC one
- Rounded like Odoo - Papaya values with 3-4 decimals are rounded per line, so payments match the order total
- Token protected - the API token is readable by Point of Sale managers only

Requirements
- Odoo 19.0 (Community or Enterprise)
- Point of Sale module installed (standard Odoo app)
- Papaya POS account with REST API access - base URL and API token from the Papaya administration (v3 and v4.0.0+ authentication styles are both supported)
- Two session modes: a separate session per sale day (historical sessions are closed without the POS closing control, so they create no accounting entries), or writing into the currently open session that you close and post yourself
- Backend labels are in Slovak - Papaya POS operates in Slovakia

Predaje z Papaya POS priamo v Odoo
Modul sťahuje účtenky z Papaya POS cez REST API a zakladá z nich plnohodnotné POS objednávky v Odoo - s riadkami, DPH, platbou a odpisom zo skladu. Import beží takmer v reálnom čase (naplánovaná akcia), manuálne na jedno kliknutie, alebo spätne za zvolené obdobie. Do Papaya sa nikdy nič nezapisuje.
