🚀 Getting Started
Prerequisites
hr- Human Resources
The HR module must be installed before installing InvOdoo HR Document Checklist.
Installation
- Ensure the
hrmodule is installed - Go to
Appsmenu in Odoo - Remove the "Apps" filter to show all modules
- Search for "InvOdoo HR Document Checklist"
- Click Install
- Wait for installation to complete
⚙️ Configuration
Step 1: Create Checklist Items
Checklist items are master templates that can be used across all employees.
- Go to
Employees → Configuration → Checklist Items - Click Create
- Fill in the checklist item details:
- Name: Task description (e.g., "Create email account")
- Type: Select Onboarding or Offboarding
- Sequence: Order in which items appear (lower numbers first)
- Notes: (Optional) Additional instructions or details
- Click Save
- Repeat for all checklist items

📝 Using Checklists with Employees
Accessing Employee Checklists
- Go to
Employees → Employees - Open an employee record (or create a new one)
- You'll see two new tabs:
- Onboarding Checklist - For new employee setup
- Offboarding Checklist - For employee exit process
- Click on the appropriate tab to view/manage checklist items
Managing Checklist Items
The checklists display all master checklist items of the corresponding type.
Marking Tasks Complete:
- Open the employee record
- Go to the Onboarding Checklist or Offboarding Checklist tab
- You'll see all checklist items sorted by sequence
- Check the box next to each task as it's completed
- Uncheck if a task needs to be redone
- All changes are saved automatically
- Checklist items are defined once in Configuration
- All employees share the same master checklist items
- Each employee has their own completion status for each item
- Changes to master items appear immediately for all employees
