Job Costing & WIP Tracking
Job cost collector with committed vs actual vs estimate variance, work-in-progress valuation, period-end WIP journal postings and earned-value analytics for fabricators and project manufacturers
Job Costing & WIP Tracking Job-shop and custom fabrication businesses live and die by the cost of the individual job. Community Odoo can attach analytic lines to a project, but those lines carry no manufacturing cost semantics, no committed-cost view, no estimate-to-actual variance and, critically, no work-in-progress valuation or period-end WIP accounting. This app is that engine.

Job cost collector Every job
Job cost collector Every job rolls up five cost elements - material issues, direct labour, machine time, subcontract and applied overhead - from an auditable transaction ledger you can drill straight into.
Committed vs actual vs estimate
Committed vs actual vs estimate Purchase commitments (material not yet received, subcontract POs) are tracked as *committed* cost separately from posted *actual* cost, and both are measured against the job estimate.

Why Choose This Module
WIP valuation and period-end postings Costs incurred on an open job sit in Work-In-Progress. A period-end WIP entry capitalises incurred cost (Dr WIP / Cr clearing) and, when the job closes, relieves WIP to cost of goods sold (Dr COGS / Cr WIP). Every entry is balanced to the cent and stamps the transactions it moved.
