POS Sequences & Smart Barcodes
for Odoo
Streamline your POS from checkout to back office. This add-on gives each store its own order and session numbering, auto-prints barcodes on receipts and invoices, and lets staff find or refund orders by simply scanning. Each location runs its own order and session series, while barcodes are auto-generated for receipts and invoices, making orders instantly searchable and refunds as simple as a scan. At checkout, the system intelligently reads short and weight-encoded barcodes, minimizing manual edits and pricing mistakes. In inventory, lot/serial codes are suggested automatically from product barcodes and dates, reducing duplication and data entry errors. Every enhancement fits seamlessly into your existing POS flow, improving front-line speed, back-office accuracy, and audit readiness across all branchesâso you move lines quicker, resolve issues faster, and keep your data clean without changing how your teams work.

Continue Selling (Resume POS Session)
Click Continue Selling on the shop card to resume the current POS session. This restores your open shift with existing orders, payments, and cashier context, so you can serve customers immediately while preserving the sessionâs sequence, balances, and audit trail.
Go to Add Items to Cart
From the Product Screen, add products by scanning a barcode or selecting tiles. Use the left panel to review the cart, change Qty/Price/%, add customer notes, or switch customer. Category tabs and search help you find items instantlyâkeeping checkout fast and accurate.
Take Payment & Validate
From the Payment screen, add one or more tenders until the Remaining balance reaches zero. Optionally attach a customer and mark Invoice if needed. Click Validate to post the order, trigger receipt printing, and finalize the transaction.
Print & Finish
After a successful payment, review the receipt preview with the order barcode, then choose Print Full Receipt or enter an email to send a digital copy. Click New Order to return to the product screen and serve the next customer.
Barcode Receipt & Order Linking
This step generates a Code128 barcode on the receipt that uniquely identifies the POS order. Customers keep a copy; staff can scan it to: pull up the order in the Ticket screen, process refunds/exchanges without manual search, validate purchases at pickup or customer service, speed up audits and end-of-day checks. You can print the receipt or email it so the barcode is always available.
