Enable native voice recording in the Chatter for all models in Odoo 19
What is KG Voice Chatter?
KG Voice Chatter unlocks Odoo's native voice recording capability (usually restricted to the Discuss application) to work globally across all Odoo models. This allows users to directly record, preview, send, and play back voice messages inside the standard Chatter thread on Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Project Tasks, Helpdesk Tickets, Partners/Contacts, and more. Speed up communication and enhance collaboration by replacing long typed messages with quick voice notes.
How It Works
Follow these simple steps to record and share voice messages in the Chatter.
Step 1: Start Voice Recording
Locate the microphone icon inside the text composer in any Odoo chatter. Click it to immediately initiate voice recording.
Step 2: Live Recording Controls
A clean, real-time interface tracks the recording duration. Click the stop button when you are done speaking.
Step 3: Preview the Recording
Listen to the recording inside the composer before finalizing your message. You can choose to delete it or proceed to post.
Step 4: Post and Listen
Once posted, the voice message is rendered natively in the chatter feed as a playble audio track, accessible to any authorized user.
