This global setting defines how invoices are automatically created when a delivery order is validated. You can disable automation, create a draft invoice, or create and post the invoice immediately. The system invoices only delivered and not-yet-invoiced products. This setting applies to all customers unless overridden at the customer level.
This option allows you to define invoice automation behavior for a specific customer. When set, it overrides the global setting defined in Sales Configuration. You can disable automation, create a draft invoice, or create and post the invoice on delivery validation. If left unchanged, the system follows the global configuration.
If a delivery order is linked to a sales order, validating the delivery will automatically create an invoice, which is then linked to both the delivery order and the related sales order.
When an invoice is created from a delivery, a Delivery smart button appears on the invoice. This button opens the related delivery order for quick reference.

What does “Create Invoice from Delivery” mean?
- It means the system will automatically generate an invoice when a delivery order is validated. This eliminates the need to manually create invoices from the sales order.
How does Auto Invoice Create from Delivery work?
- When a delivery order is validated, the module automatically creates an invoice based on delivered quantities. You can configure it to create a draft invoice, create and post the invoice immediately, or disable automation.
Can I control invoice creation settings globally?
- Yes. You can define a global setting in Sales Configuration to control how invoices are created from delivery validation for all customers.
Can I set different rules for specific customers?
- Yes. The module allows customer-level configuration. If defined, it overrides the global setting and controls how invoice create from delivery works for that particular customer.
Does the system invoice all products from the Sales Order?
- No. The system only invoices delivered and not-yet-invoiced products, ensuring accurate billing and preventing duplicate invoices.
What happens if the delivery is linked to a Sales Order?
- When you validate the delivery order, the system automatically creates invoice from delivery and links it to both the Sales Order and the Delivery Order for complete traceability.
Is the invoice automatically posted?
- It depends on your configuration. You can choose: Disable automation Create draft invoice Create and automatically post invoice on delivery validation

- Yes. Once the invoice is created from delivery, a Delivery smart button appears on the invoice for quick access to the related delivery order.
