Quotation / Sale Order Revisions
The Quotation / Sale Order Revisions module allows users to easily create, track, and manage multiple revisions of sales quotations and sale orders in Odoo. With this feature, you can generate new revisions, view full revision history, and restore or compare previous versions â all from any existing revision.
To create a revision of a quotation or sale order, follow these steps:
- Go to Sales â Orders â Quotations and either create a new quotation or open an existing one.
- Once the quotation or sale order is created, click the Create Revision button in the header of the form.
- This will generate a new revision with a child sequence while retaining all details from the original quotation or sale order.
In the Sale Order Form view, you will find a page named "Revisions History". Clicking on this page displays all the revisions that have been created for the particular sale order or quotation, helping you keep track of every change made over time.
Another way to access all the revisions is by using the Revisions smart button available on the sale order. This opens a list view where you can see and manage all revisions linked to that specific sale order or quotation.
If a sale order has been partially delivered and you need to create a new revision, you can easily update the remaining quantity before generating the revision.
- Open the sale order and click on the Delivery smart button to view the delivery details.
- Add the quantity to be delivered and click Validate to confirm the changes.
Once the updated quantity is validated, you can proceed to create a new revision of the sale order, ensuring the latest quantities are reflected.
When a sale order has been partially delivered and a new revision is created, the system automatically updates the product quantities in the new revision based on the remaining quantities yet to be delivered.
- After validating the remaining quantity from the Delivery smart button, click on the Create Revision button on the sale order form.
- The new revision will be generated with updated product quantities reflecting only the undelivered items.
This ensures the new revision accurately represents the pending quantities without requiring any manual updates.
