Ghana Payroll PAYE
Graduated PAYE bands and SSNIT 3-tier social security for Odoo — no Enterprise hr_payroll required
Run statutory Ghana payroll on Odoo Community or Enterprise. Built on hr with its own payslip/run model, it computes the resident PAYE graduated scale and the mandatory SSNIT 18.5% three-tier contributions on every employee — with editable bands, rates and ceilings that you keep current as the GRA and SSNIT revise them.
Graduated PAYE
The resident monthly scale — tax-free band, 5%, 10%, 17.5%, 25%, 30% and 35% — derived from the annual First-Schedule bands of the Income Tax Act 2015 (Act 896). Non-residents are taxed at the flat employment-income rate. Every band is editable per company.
SSNIT three tiers
Mandatory 18.5% of basic salary — employee 5.5%, employer 13% — split between Tier 1 (13.5%, SSNIT) and Tier 2 (5%, private trustee), plus an optional voluntary Tier 3 top-up, all respecting the editable insurable-earnings ceiling.
Correct chargeable income
Tier-1 and Tier-2 employee contributions are tax-deductible, so they are subtracted from gross before PAYE. Allowances are added to basic to form the taxable gross while staying outside the SSNIT base — exactly as the law requires.
Payroll runs & registers
One payslip line per employee with per-tier and PAYE columns, run totals, and a one-click CSV or Excel payroll register ready for SSNIT and GRA remittance reconciliation.
Annual PAYE settlement
A year-end wizard sums an employee's gross, SSNIT relief and PAYE withheld across the year, recomputes the annual liability on the editable scale, and shows the balance payable or refundable.
No Enterprise lock-in
The run, line and PAYE-band models are the module's own — there is no dependency on the Enterprise hr_payroll app. It installs and works on Community.
Editable, auditable, future-proof
Bands, SSNIT rates, the tier split, the insurable ceiling and the non-resident rate are all data-driven defaults seeded per company. When Ghana revises a figure you change it in one place and payroll keeps producing correct payslips.
Compatible with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19.
