This module creates a dedicated Localización top-level menu that organizes all Peruvian compliance features — SPOT, PLE, invoicing, payroll data — into a clean, professional hierarchy.
Reference Data Management
Peruvian fiscal compliance requires managing SPOT Detractions, SPOT Retentions, and Customs Unit Codes (Aduana). This module provides the base models, views, and menus to create, edit, and maintain these reference catalogs, ready for use by downstream localization modules.

1. Installation & Menu Setup
Get your Peruvian localization hub running in minutes:
- Install the module from Apps. Search for "l10n_pe_localization_menu".
- A new top-level menu "Localización" appears in your main navigation bar.
- Sub-menus for SPOT, PLE, Facturación, and Datos nómina are created automatically.
- Install additional Peruvian localization modules and their entries will appear under these menus.

Manage your catalog of SPOT Detraction and Retention types with dedicated list and form views. These records serve as reference data for invoices and compliance reports.
Customs Codes (Aduana)
Maintain the official catalog of Customs Unit Codes (Códigos de Aduana) with their code and description. Essential for import/export operations and PLE electronic book reporting.

- Create another record with Code "118" and Description "Customs Unit Callao".
- Test: Both records appear in the list with Code and Description columns.
- Result: Customs codes are manageable and display correctly.
Scenario 5: Downstream Module Integration
- Install this module first.
- Then install a dependent Peruvian localization module (e.g., PLE reports).
- Navigate to the Localización menu.
- Result: The dependent module's menu items appear under the correct sub-menus (PLE, SPOT, etc.) without conflicts or errors.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Resolutions
I don't see the "Localización" menu?
Reason: The module may not be installed, or your user may lack the required Accounting access rights.
Fix: Verify the module is installed from Apps. Ensure your user has at least Accounting > Invoicing permissions.
Sub-menus appear empty?
Reason: This module creates the menu structure only. The actual window actions are provided by downstream localization modules.
Fix: Install the specific Peruvian localization modules you need (e.g., PLE reports, SPOT calculations). Their menus will appear automatically under the correct category.
Can I uninstall this module?
Answer: Only if no other localization module depends on it.
Detail: This module is the menu backbone. Uninstalling it will remove all Peruvian localization menus. Uninstall dependent modules first, then this one if needed.
Is this compatible with Multi-company?
Answer: Yes!
Detail: The menu structure is shared across companies. SPOT and Aduana records are global reference data accessible from any company context.
