Product Fields

The Legion Product Field module is an extension designed to enhance product-related information management within Odoo. It adds several key attributes to products, invoices, and sales orders to track additional details such as batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, pack size, and maximum retail price (MRP). These enhancements are essential for industries dealing with products that have expiration dates, batch management, and regulatory requirements (such as pharmaceuticals or perishable goods).

Key Features:

• Product Tracking Enhancements: The module adds custom fields such as batch_number, mfg_date, exp_date, pack_size, and mrp to the product.template, sale.order.line, and account.move.line. This allows for better tracking of product details, especially in regulated industries where batch numbers and expiry dates are crucial.
• Integration with Sales and Invoices: The lice_number (Licence Number) is added to both sales orders and invoices, ensuring that this critical regulatory information is always tied to the transaction for better compliance and record-keeping.
• Enhanced Product View: The product template form and tree views are modified to display new fields such as batch_number, mfg_date, exp_date, etc., enabling users to view and manage these details directly from the product interface.
• Automated Invoice Generation:: Invoices generated from sales orders automatically carry over product-related information such as batch_number, mfg_date, exp_date, pack_size, and mrp. This ensures consistency and accuracy when billing and managing products.
• User-Friendly Customization: With easy integration into the existing Odoo framework, it allows businesses to efficiently add and use additional product information without disrupting existing workflows.
