Why Legion Salesperson Area?
This module solves that by assigning each customer contact to a specific Area and a specific Day of the week. Each salesperson is then assigned their areas. When a salesperson logs into Odoo they see only the customers in their assigned areas — and separate menu items for each day's route give them a pre-filtered list of exactly which customers to visit on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc. without any manual filtering needed.

Create new contact Day Wise
Sales Person Area Route.
This module adds Area and Day fields to every customer contact, creates a new Salesperson Area master where admin defines geographic territories with auto-generated IDs like SPA001, and assigns those areas to specific salespersons from their user profile.
Key Features:
- Area-Based Customer Assignment:A new salesperson.area model stores named geographic territories with auto-generated sequence numbers (SPA001, SPA002). Every customer contact gets an area_id field linking them to their territory and a day_selection field specifying which day of the week a salesperson visits them.
- Day-Wise Route Menus for Field Visit Planning:Seven separate menu items under Contacts — Monday through Sunday — each pre-filtered to show only customers assigned to that specific day. Each menu is controlled by a day-specific security group (Monday Route, Tuesday Route etc.) — admin assigns a salesperson to the Monday Route group and they see the Monday menu.
- User Type Classification for Clean Contact Separation: Every res.partner gets a user_type field distinguishing between Customer and User records. When a new Odoo user is created their partner record automatically gets user_type = 'user' so they are always visible to all salespersons regardless of area assignments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can one salesperson cover multiple areas?
Yes — the sale_person_area field on the user is a Many2many so one salesperson can be assigned to as many areas as needed.
Can a manager see all customers regardless of area?
Yes — assign the manager to the "Show All Contacts" group in Settings → Users.
Can I create areas without assigning them to a day?
Yes — areas and days are separate concepts. An area is a geographic territory (North, South, Commercial District). A day is assigned per customer not per area — meaning customers in the same area can be visited on different days by the same or different salespersons.
Can I schedule this report to be emailed automatically?
Currently the report is generated on demand through the wizard. Scheduling it as an automated daily or weekly email is a feature that can be added as a future enhancement.
