Contractors and suppliers juggle dozens of bank guarantee letters across projects — each with its own bank coverage, commission, expiry date and accounting impact — usually tracked in scattered spreadsheets that go stale and miss renewal deadlines. Letters of Guarantee replaces that with one project-linked register: it computes bank coverage and fees, posts the accounting entry automatically, warns you before every expiry, and shows the whole portfolio on a live dashboard.

Key Features

Four Guarantee Types

Issue and track Bid (ابتدائي), Advance-Payment (دفعة مقدمة), Final (نهائي) and Performance (حسن تنفيذ) letters, each with auto-sequenced numbering and full status history.

Project & Contract Linked

Every letter is tied to a project, and its accounting entry carries the project's analytic distribution automatically. Optionally link it to the related contract or progress claim.

Bank Coverage & Facilities

Record the coverage type — full cash, credit facilities or partial — with a coverage ratio, and the covered amount is calculated for you against the letter's value.

Auto Fees & Commission

The annual bank commission is computed from the rate and the letter's duration, then rolled up with fixed issuance fees and stamp duty into a single total bank cost.

Automatic Journal Entries

Confirming a letter posts its off-balance entry (Dr cash/guarantee, Cr liability); returning it posts a reversal — so the guarantee's accounting impact is always in sync.

Per-Letter Accounts

Set the journal, cash/guarantee, liability, commission-expense and returned-guarantee accounts globally as defaults — then override them per letter to match each issuing bank.

Expiry Alerts

A daily job flags expired letters and emails a reminder a configurable number of days before expiry (30 by default), so no renewal deadline slips past finance.

Renewal Wizard

Renew a letter in one step with a new expiry date and an optional new value — the change is logged in the chatter for a complete, auditable history.

Live Dashboard

An OWL dashboard shows totals by status, letters expiring within 30 days, total value and fees, distribution by type, and the next five letters about to expire.

Guarantee Lifecycle

Every status change is tracked — and confirmation posts the accounting entry
