How It Works
Barcode Generation Workflow
Navigate to Settings → Barcode Generator to configure your preferences: barcode type, generation mode (automatic/manual), prefix, and sequence digits.
Open any product form and click the "Generate Barcode" button. The barcode will be created and displayed with its image preview.
Select multiple products from the list view and use Actions → Generate Barcodes. The wizard shows a summary and allows you to choose whether to overwrite existing barcodes.
Assign users to User or Administrator roles under the Barcode Generator privilege to control access to generation features and settings.
Installing Product Barcode Generator is simple and straightforward.
- Download the module from the Odoo App Store.
- Install it in your Odoo instance (Apps → Search "Barcode Generator" → Install)
- The module automatically integrates with your existing products.
- Start generating barcodes immediately — no additional configuration required
- Configure barcode type, prefix, and generation mode in Settings
- For individual products: Use the "Generate Barcode" button on product form
- For bulk generation: Select products in list view → Actions → Generate Barcodes
- Existing barcodes are protected — confirmation required to overwrite
