List Manager
Show, hide, reorder and rename the columns of any list view — straight from the interface. No XML, no developer mode, no waiting for IT.
Every List View, Exactly the Way You Want It
Stop scrolling sideways past columns you never read — open and free for every Odoo user.
Full Column Control
Show or hide any column — not only the ones the view marks as optional. Reorder them by drag & drop and rename any header.
Saved Per User
Layouts live on the server, not in the browser. Your columns follow you from the office desktop to the laptop at home.
Default for Everyone
An administrator can publish a layout as the company default. Users who never touched that list see it — and can still override it.
Column Widths That Stick
Drag a column border once. The width is stored and applied every time you come back — no more re-adjusting after each reload.
Serial Numbers & Row Highlighting
Switch on a numbering column for every list, highlight the row under the pointer, and set your own list header colors.
One-Click Reset
Changed your mind? Reset my layout brings the original view back instantly. Nothing is ever written to the view itself.
Safe by Design
A user can only read the shared defaults and edit their own layout. Only a system administrator can change what everyone sees.
How It Works
No configuration required — just install and click.
1. Open any list view in Odoo.
2. Click the cog menu next to the breadcrumb and choose Manage Columns.
3. Tick, drag and rename the columns you need.
4. Hit Apply — your layout is saved and follows you everywhere.
Good to Know
Built to sit lightly on top of standard Odoo.
Your views stay untouched
Layouts are stored in their own model. Nothing is written to ir.ui.view, so upgrading a module or a custom view never conflicts with a saved layout.
Survives view changes
Columns removed from a view simply disappear from the layout; columns added later show up at the end. No broken screens after an update.
One request per session
All of a user's layouts are fetched once and kept in memory. Opening a list view costs no extra round trip.
Scope
Applies to the main list views. Lists embedded in a form (x2many tabs) keep the standard Odoo behaviour, since they have no view of their own to attach a layout to.
Every stored layout is visible and removable under Settings › Technical › User Interface › List View Layouts. Appearance options live in Settings › General Settings › List Views.
