Cash Rounding — Sales & Purchase
Extend Odoo’s built-in cash rounding to Sale Orders and Purchase Orders with automatic invoice pass-through
Why This Module?
Odoo natively supports cash rounding on invoices, but not on sale or purchase orders.
This module fills that gap — letting you apply rounding methods directly on orders and
automatically carry them through to invoices and vendor bills. No extra configuration required;
it reuses your existing account.cash.rounding setup.
Key Features
|
🛒
Sale Order Cash RoundingAdd a cash rounding method directly on sale orders. The rounding adjustment and rounded total are computed and displayed automatically. |
📦
Purchase Order Cash RoundingThe same rounding capability is available on purchase orders, ensuring consistency across your procurement workflow. |
|
⚙
Automatic Rounding ComputationRounding adjustment amount and the rounded total are computed in real time as order lines are added or modified. |
📄
Invoice Pass-throughWhen you create an invoice from a sale order or a vendor bill from a purchase order, the cash rounding method is automatically carried forward. |
|
🔗
Unified ConfigurationUses Odoo’s native account.cash.rounding configuration. No separate setup needed — the same rounding methods you already use on invoices are available on orders. |
🔒
Security IntegrationRespects Odoo’s built-in Cash Rounding security group. Only users with the appropriate permissions can see and use rounding fields on orders. |
|
👁
Visible Only When SelectedRounding amount and rounded total fields appear only when a rounding method is selected, keeping the order form clean and uncluttered. |
✅
No Extra SetupInstall and go. Works immediately with cash rounding methods already configured in your Accounting settings. Zero additional configuration. |

How It Works
Enable Cash Rounding
Go to Accounting → Settings and enable Cash Rounding. Create rounding methods as needed (e.g., round to 0.05, 0.10, etc.).
Select Rounding on Orders
Open a Sale Order or Purchase Order and select a Cash Rounding Method from the dropdown. The rounding adjustment and rounded total appear automatically.
Confirm and Invoice
Confirm the order and create an invoice or vendor bill as usual. The rounding method is automatically passed to the generated invoice/bill — no manual steps required.
