Direct Print
Stop the download-open-print dance. Send any Odoo report — invoices, delivery slips, shipping labels, barcode labels — straight to your local printer with a single click. No PDF download, no third-party software, no print-cloud subscription, no IoT box.
Print Without the Detour
Out of the box, clicking Print in Odoo downloads a PDF that you then have to open and print by hand. Direct Print lets you flip any report so that the same click opens your browser’s print dialog — ready to fire at whatever printer that device can already reach.
Everything You Need
A lightweight layer on top of standard Odoo reporting — nothing to host, nothing to subscribe to.
How it works
Install it on your existing reports — flipping a report to direct print takes one field.
- Install the module — it depends only on the standard base and web apps and works on Community and Enterprise.
- Turn on developer mode, then open Settings → Technical → Actions → Reports.
- Open the report you want, go to the Print tab, and find Default Behavior.
- Switch it from Send to Client (download) to Open Print Dialog (direct print).
- Done — clicking Print on that report now opens the print dialog instead of downloading a PDF. Repeat for any other reports.
See It in Action
From the one-time setup to a report printing the moment you click — here’s the whole flow inside Odoo.
