A developer-grade inspection tool for Odoo. Pick any model and instantly render an interactive node-graph of its field dependencies — @api.depends computes, related chains and @api.onchange triggers — colour-coded, draggable, zoomable, and entirely read-only. What this module does
Adds a Field Dependency Graph action under Settings → Technical (system / admin only). Choose a model from a searchable selector and the tool reads its dependency metadata live from the server, then draws an automatic, layered node-graph — without modifying a single record.

Computed dependencies
Every @api.depends edge is drawn in blue, showing exactly which
source fields feed each computed field — perfect for tracing recompute chains and surprise cascades.

Related field chains
Green links follow related= paths across models, so you can see at a glance
where a value is mirrored from and how deep the chain runs before it resolves.

Onchange triggers
Amber edges map @api.onchange handlers to the fields they fire on,
making heavy or unexpected onchange chains easy to spot before they slow a form down.

Colour-coded nodes
Nodes are tinted by field kind — compute, related,
onchange and plain — each labelled and flagged
for whether it is stored.

Fully interactive canvas
Drag nodes to rearrange, pan the canvas, zoom with buttons or the mouse wheel, and reset the view.
Hover any node to highlight its connected nodes and edges instantly.

Read-only by design
Pure client-side OWL rendering over SVG, reading metadata through standard ir.model methods.
Nothing is written or changed — it is a safe inspection tool, not a configurator.
How it works
From install to a full dependency map in a few clicks — no configuration required.
- Install the module and enable developer mode (the action is restricted to system / admin users).
- Open Settings → Technical → Field Dependency Graph from the menu.
- Search and pick any model from the selector — the tool fetches its field metadata live from the server.
- Read the auto-laid-out graph: nodes coloured by field kind, edges coloured by relationship (blue compute, green related, amber onchange).
- Drag, pan, zoom and reset to explore; hover a node to spotlight everything connected to it.
Note: The visualizer is strictly read-only. It inspects dependency metadata through standard
ir.model methods and renders everything in the browser — it never edits fields, records, or
your model definitions, and changes nothing on the server.
