What this module does

Adds a Timesheet Dashboard menu under Timesheets. It reads your existing timesheet entries through a single backend call and renders a full analytics workspace — KPIs, charts, tables and trends — with no extra data entry and nothing written back to your records.

● KPI cards with trends
Eight headline metrics — Total Hours, Timesheets, Avg Hours/Day, Employees, Projects, Tasks, Billable Hours and Overtime Hours — each with a trend indicator comparing the selected period against the one before it.
● Charts, tables & trends
Hours by employee, project, task and department, plus daily and monthly trends, weekly breakdowns, project budget burn, task overtime and a current-vs-previous month comparison — bar, line and pie charts alongside detailed tables.
● Powerful filtering
Set a custom from / to date range and narrow everything by Project, Employee and Department. Every KPI, chart and table updates together so you can focus on exactly the slice of time you care about.
● Billable, overtime & budget
Spot overtime and budget overruns early: overdue tasks are highlighted, and project budget panels show allocated vs spent at a glance. Ideal for agencies and teams that bill by the hour.
● Drag, drop & resize
The whole layout is yours to shape. Reorder panels by dragging and freely resize them, then your arrangement is saved in the browser — so each manager keeps their own personalised dashboard.
● Fast and safe
All data loads in a single backend call and respects your standard timesheet access rights. The dashboard only reads existing entries — it adds no new fields and changes nothing on the server.

How it works

From install to a fully personalised analytics view in a few clicks — no configuration required.

  1. Install the module (it depends on Timesheets / hr_timesheet).
  2. Open Timesheets from the main menu.
  3. Click Timesheet Dashboard — the analytics workspace opens and loads your data.
  4. Set a from / to date range and apply Project, Employee or Department filters.
  5. Read your KPI cards (with trend arrows) and explore the charts and tables below them.
  6. Drag, drop and resize the panels into the layout you prefer — it is saved automatically for next time.
Note: The dashboard reads your existing timesheet data only — there is no extra data entry and nothing is written back to your records. Your personalised panel layout is stored per user in the browser, so everyone keeps their own arrangement.
