Automatically assigns the default technician to new field service tasks when no assignee is set - eliminating unassigned tasks in the dispatch queue from the moment they are created.

The Problem
New FSM tasks appear in the queue with no technician assigned
Field service tasks are created and land in the dispatch queue without any technician assigned. Dispatchers have to manually review and assign every new task - a repetitive step that delays job starts and creates gaps in the schedule when tasks are missed.

Auto-assigns on task creation
When a new FSM task is created without any assignees, the default technician is automatically added to the task's user list.

Smart fallback
If no default technician is configured, the module falls back to the task creator - ensuring every task always has an owner.

ICP kill-switch
Enable or disable the rule instantly via Settings > Technical > System Parameters without uninstalling the module.
Up and Running
Install once — works automatically
Step 1 - Install
Install Assign: FSM Technician.
Step 2 - Set default technician
Go to Settings > Technical > System Parameters, find mjb_assign_fsm_technician.default_user_id, and set the res.users ID of the default technician.
Done - technician assigned automatically
Every new FSM task without an assignee will automatically have the default technician added.

Applies to new FSM tasks only - existing unassigned tasks are not backfilled
Requires the industry_fsm module (Field Service)
Assigns to user_ids (M2M) - compatible with Odoo 19 multi-technician FSM tasks
