Fleet insurance renewals are easy to lose track of in busy operations. When a vehicle's coverage lapses — even briefly — you face fines, voided claims, and full liability exposure during any incident in that window. Most teams rely on spreadsheets or calendar reminders that get missed. This module brings the alert directly into Odoo, on the vehicle record, where your fleet manager will actually see it.
What It Installs
This satellite installs 1 pre-configured reminder rule for the
mjb_reminder_rule engine. The rule is disabled by default so
you can review and enable it at the right time.

Date Field Customization
The rule monitors next_assignation_date as a proxy for insurance or
contract renewal. After installation, an administrator can edit the rule and change
this field to any date field that matches your actual insurance expiry tracking
(for example, a custom field on fleet.vehicle).
First Version — Feedback Welcome
This is the initial release of this satellite. The rule is intentionally simple and configurable. If your fleet uses a different field for insurance expiry, or you need additional notification channels (email, SMS), please reach out — we prioritize improvements based on real customer feedback.
