A standard Odoo product is one SKU per design. A gold piece doesn’t work that way — this 22K bangle weighs 28.34 g, the next one weighs 31.02 g. Different gold value, different price. Each card displays as a black case-window with photo, SKU, weight, karat, today’s computed price in gold.
Pricing breaks down right in front of you.
Photo on the side. gold value (read-only, weight × today’s karat rate) + making charges + stone value → the current selling price in big champagne-gold serif. Hallmark, certificate, cost basis, supplier, margin %.
Customer brings old gold. You credit it.
The most common MENA workflow: customer picks a new piece, then pours her old chains on the counter. Weigh each by karat. The system applies today’s buy rate per karat and credits it against the sale. One PDF for the customer, both sides spelled out. Trade-in is built in. Most competitors make you handle it on paper.
