MRP Long Cycle Control
Manage long-cycle manufacturing orders with progressive consumption, periodic cutoff snapshots, operational milestones, incident tracking, and a controlled final close while keeping standard Odoo MRP intact.
Business Need
Standard manufacturing flows are usually designed around short or clearly bounded production cycles. Some industries need to control production orders that remain open for a long period, consume materials progressively, require periodic operational checkpoints, and declare finished production only at the end.
MRP Long Cycle Control adds an operational layer for these cases without turning the module into a full MES, APS, or replacement for standard Odoo Manufacturing.

Long Cycle Enablement
Activate Long Cycle control only on selected manufacturing orders that require the extended workflow.
Progressive Consumption
Record and confirm material consumption progressively during execution, including controlled reversal.
Cutoff Snapshots
Generate operational cutoff snapshots to preserve consumption, cost, stage, and elapsed-day information.
Milestones and Incidents
Track operational milestones and incidents directly on the long-cycle manufacturing order.
Controlled Final Close
Validate pending drafts, blockers, traceability, final quantity, and final scrap before closing.
Standard MRP Friendly
Manufacturing orders not marked as Long Cycle continue to use the normal Odoo process.

A simple, controlled sequence designed for manufacturing orders that stay open over extended execution cycles.
Enable and Plan
Mark the manufacturing order as Long Cycle and move it into the planned operational state.
Start and Consume
Start execution and register progressive material consumption as the operation advances.
Review with Cutoffs
Create cutoff snapshots and follow milestones or incidents during the long-running process.
Close Once
Declare final output and scrap at the end, after backend validations confirm the order can close.
Reporting Included in This Release
The module includes a first operational monitor for in-progress Long Cycle manufacturing orders. The report is based on mrp.production and provides list, search, and pivot views.

- Long Cycle code, product, company, and responsible user.
- Odoo state and Long Cycle state.
- Current process stage and expected end date.
- Last cutoff and next cutoff date.
- Elapsed days, delay days, consumed quantity, and consumed cost.
- Open incidents, open milestones, and operational status.

- My orders and active orders.
- In progress, under review, and ready to close.
- Blocked, overdue, with cutoff, without cutoff, and next cutoff overdue.
- Open incidents, company, responsible user, product, and stage.
Security and Access Control
MRP Long Cycle Control uses dedicated groups for Long Cycle users, supervisors, managers, accounting users, and administrators.
Sensitive actions are validated in the backend and not only hidden in the user interface. Access rights and record rules are designed to keep Long Cycle records controlled by role and company.
Multi-company Behavior
Long Cycle records linked to manufacturing orders preserve company consistency. Stages, consumptions, cutoffs, milestones, and incidents are company-aware and respect Odoo multi-company visibility rules.
