MRP Smart Picking Quantity Adjust
Adjust Component Quantities Instantly for Partial Production
This module simplifies the material transfer process from Stock to Production by allowing users to adjust component quantities automatically. Instead of manually editing each line, just enter the target production quantity and the system updates everything proportionally based on the Bill of Materials (BoM).
Key Features
- Automatically adjusts component quantities
- Supports partial production transfers
- No changes to original Manufacturing Order
- Handles unit conversions seamlessly
- Reduces manual errors and saves time
When to Use
- When transferring partial raw materials to production
- When you want to avoid manual calculations
- When working with Manufacturing Orders with BoM
How It Works
Step 1: Open Picking
Go to Inventory → Operations → Transfers and open a picking linked to a Manufacturing Order.
Step 2: Click Adjustment Button
Click on Adjust Component Quantities button.
Step 3: Enter Target Quantity
Enter the quantity you want to produce.
Step 4: Confirm
Click Confirm to apply changes.
Step 5: Review Updates
All component quantities are updated automatically.
Behind the Scenes
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Enter target quantity | System calculates ratio |
| BoM recalculated | Component quantities updated |
| Transfer updated | Done quantities adjusted |
| MO unchanged | Original quantity preserved |
Important Notes
- Only matching BoM lines are updated
- Supports unit conversions (kg, g, etc.)
- Rounding applied to avoid shortages
- No automatic backorders created
- Original demand remains unchanged
Troubleshooting
- No Manufacturing Order linked: Use pickings created from MO
- No BoM found: Configure BoM for product
- No matching lines: Ensure picking comes from MO
- Lines not updated: They may be already done or cancelled
Use Case Example
Manufacturing Order: 100 chairs
Each chair requires: 4 legs, 1 seat, 1 backrest
Want to produce only 30?
Just enter 30 and the system calculates everything automatically.
