Nextcloud Contact Synchronization

Overview
This module provides a seamless bidirectional synchronization between Odoo Contacts and a Nextcloud address book. It automatically exports Odoo partners as vCards to Nextcloud and imports modifications from the Nextcloud side back into Odoo. The synchronization is powered by webhooks, scheduled automations, and Odooâs vCard framework to ensure a consistent and reliable exchange of contact data.
Settings
The module adds a configuration panel where administrators can define all parameters for the synchronization. This includes the Nextcloud server URL, authentication credentials, and the target address book. Once set up, Odoo automatically manages the communication with Nextcloud.
Logging
All synchronization operations are logged in the system to provide transparency and troubleshooting information. The logs capture exported and imported contacts and any warnings or errors that occur during the process. This ensures administrators have full visibility into the synchronization workflow.
Form View
he module extends the partner form view with additional fields required for the synchronization with Nextcloud. These fields store synchronization metadata such as the remote UID, timestamps, and status information. They allow users to see whether a contact has been synchronized and when the last update occurred. The form view also provides actions to manually trigger synchronization for individual contacts.

MuK Contacts Nextcloud
Synchronizes Odoo contacts with a Nextcloud address book. Exports Odoo partners as vCards, imports updates from Nextcloud, and keeps both systems consistently synchronized using scheduled actions and automated processes.
Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
To configure the module:
- Go to Settings → General Settings → Nextcloud
- Enable the Nextcloud integration
- Enter the Nextcloud server URL
- Provide the username and password for authentication
- Select the address book that should be synchronized
Usage
After configuration, Odoo partners are synchronized with the chosen Nextcloud address book. Creating or updating a contact in Odoo will export the information to Nextcloud using vCard serialization. Changes performed in Nextcloud are received through scheduled actions and applied to the corresponding partner record in Odoo. Manual synchronization actions are also available through the Contacts menu and server actions.
