MuK Mail Search
Adds a full text search to messages

Overview
The module extends the message model with a full text search for the content of the message. In addition, the global search configuration is extended by a setting that also allows searching in the messages of the respective models and thus also finding corresponding data records if the search term occurs in one of the messages.
Configuration
To activate the message search in the configuration, simply press the corresponding toggle. In addition, a respective domain can be specified if the search is to be restricted. It is important to note that none of the special keywords (*self*, ...) are available for this domain.
Message Search
Every model that inherits from the thread mixin can now be automatically searched for messages using a full-text search. For this purpose, a corresponding search option is dynamically added to the view.
Message View
In each contact a new action button is available which shows how many messages have been written by this contact. Click on the action button to open a new message view. This allows you to browse through messages efficiently and jump to the corresponding model if required.

MuK Mail Search
The module extends the message model with a full text search for the content of the message. Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
To configure this module, you need to:
- Activate the debug mode and o to Settings -> Technical -> Global Search.
- Create a new configuration by clicking on the New button.
- Select a model to add a new search configuration to the global search.
- You can activate the Search Messages to also search in the messages.
Full-text search can be enhanced by using PostgreSQL language-specific dictionaries, which enable stemming (e.g., searching for "running" will also match "run"). You can configure which dictionaries to use by defining the fts_dictionaries parameter in your odoo.conf file. For example:
[options] fts_dictionaries = german_stem, english_stem
The dictionaries are applied in the given order, with the last one serving as a fallback. Additionally, a custom fts_dictionary is always added internally as a fallback to handle tokens not covered by the specified language dictionaries.
Usage
Start a new search by clicking on the icon in the systray or using the shortcut ALT + F. Now just enter a search query in the input field.
