MuK Sale PoS
Turn a Point of Sale cart into a sale order
MuK IT GmbH - www.mukit.at
Overview
This module lets a cashier turn the current Point of Sale cart into a sale order without leaving the POS. Straight from the product screen the cart becomes a draft quotation, a confirmed order, or a confirmed and delivered order — whichever modes you enable. The originating POS order is discarded, and the created sale order can optionally be loaded back into a fresh POS order for immediate payment.
In the Point of Sale
A Create Sale Order button is added to the product screen. It stays hidden until at least one creation mode is enabled, and is disabled with a helpful tooltip until a customer and products are on the cart, so cashiers always know what is missing.
Three Ways to Create the Order
A single dialog lets the cashier pick the invoice and delivery address of the customer and choose exactly how far the sale order should be taken:
- Draft Quotation — keep it editable and finish it later in Sales.
- Confirmed Order — confirm the sale order right away.
- Already Shipped — confirm the order and validate the delivery as done.
A per-dialog switch — pre-set from the configuration — loads the freshly created sale order straight back into a new POS order so the payment can be taken immediately. Every failure is shown to the cashier while the POS order is kept untouched.
Configuration
Each Point of Sale is configured independently from the POS settings. Enable only the creation modes that make sense for that shop, and set the default for the load-into-cart switch. The Create Sale Order button and the dialog adapt automatically to what you allow.

MuK Sale PoS
Turn a Point of Sale cart into a sale order. Straight from the POS product screen a Create Sale Order button lets the cashier turn the current cart into a sale order — as a draft quotation, a confirmed order, or a confirmed and delivered order, depending on which modes are enabled per Point of Sale. The originating POS order is discarded, and the created sale order can optionally be loaded back into a fresh POS order for immediate payment.
Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
Open the Point of Sale settings and enable the creation modes under Sale Orders. Each Point of Sale is configured independently, so enable only the modes that make sense for that shop. The defaults for the load-into-cart and send-by-email switches offered in the dialog are set here as well.
Usage
Open a Point of Sale session, add a customer and some products to the cart, then click Create Sale Order on the product screen. Pick the invoice and delivery address, decide whether to load the created order back into the cart for immediate payment and whether to send it to the customer by email, then choose one of the enabled creation modes:
- Draft Quotation — keep it editable and finish it later in Sales.
- Confirmed Order — confirm the sale order right away.
- Already Shipped — confirm the order and validate the delivery as done.
