Trigger Actions by Scanning Barcodes

Overview
This module allows users to trigger system actions by scanning barcodes. Administrators can define barcode actions that map barcode prefixes to window or server actions. A systray button and keyboard shortcut provide quick access to the scanning wizard. For batch workflows the module supports multi-scan mode, which accumulates scanned records before processing them together.
Barcode Actions
Barcode actions are configured in the settings. Each action maps a unique barcode prefix to either a window action or a server action. When a barcode is scanned, the module matches the prefix and executes the corresponding action. The form view includes a sample barcode for testing.
Scanning Wizard
The scanning wizard opens as a dialog from the systray button or the Alt+B keyboard shortcut. Once the dialog is focused, any barcode scanner input is captured and processed automatically. The wizard also supports multi-scan mode where multiple records are accumulated before being processed as a batch.

Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
To configure barcode actions:
- Go to Settings → Technical → Barcode Actions
- Create a new barcode action with a unique prefix
- Select the action type (Window Action or Server Action)
- Link the corresponding Odoo action
Usage
Press Alt+B or click the barcode icon in the systray to open the scanning wizard. Scan a barcode with a configured prefix to trigger the associated action. For multi-scan actions the wizard accumulates scanned records and processes them as a batch when the user clicks the Process button.
