Booking Workflow
Manage the entire lifecycle of a booked order easily:
- Drafting: Start an order in POS, select products, and save it as a Draft Booking.
- Information Gathering: Enter Pickup Date, Delivery Date, Phone Number, and Address.
- Retrieval: Retrieve the draft from the Booked Orders screen at any time.
- Confirmation: Confirm the order to process payment and generate a receipt.
Reliable Data Structure
Built on a robust architecture to ensure data consistency:
- Dedicated Model: Uses a separate book.order model to store drafts safely without cluttering standard pos orders.
- Line Item Accuracy: book.order.line accurately tracks products, quantities, prices, and taxes.
- Sequence Generation: Automatically assigns a unique POS/BO/ sequence to each booking.
- POS Config Options: Enable or disable the booking feature per POS configuration.
How to Use
- Enable the Feature: Go to Point of Sale Configuration and enable the "Book Orders" feature.
- Start a Booking: Open a POS Session, add items to the cart, and click the "Booking" button.
- Fill Details: Fill in the pickup/delivery dates and contact info, then confirm.
- Manage Bookings: Use the "Booked Orders" button to view and manage all pending bookings.
- Complete Sale: Select a booked order to load it into the cart and process the payment as usual.
