My Dynamic Global Discount
Apply a global discount on any Point of Sale order — as a percentage or a fixed amount — through a clean, modern selection dialog built right into the POS.
What it does
A focused Point of Sale discount tool: configure how discounts are allowed, then let cashiers apply them in a couple of taps — with the math handled correctly across every tax group on the order.
Percentage Discounts
Apply a global discount as a percentage of the order total, automatically distributed across each tax group in proportion to its share of the bill.
Fixed Amount Discounts
Deduct a fixed discount amount from the order, split fairly across tax groups so totals and tax reporting stay accurate.
Modern Selection Dialog
When both options are enabled, cashiers choose between Percentage and Amount from a clean, card-based popup — no confusing prompts.
Configurable in Settings
Turn the feature on or off, pick the allowed discount type(s), and choose the discount product directly from POS > Configuration > Settings.
Clean Order Lines
The discount is added as a dedicated line item, re-calculated automatically if applied again, so receipts and invoices stay easy to read.
How it works
Get up and running in a few steps.
Install the module
Install My Dynamic Global Discount from Apps, then head to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings.
Enable and configure
Turn on the Global Discount setting, choose Percentage, Amount, or Both, and select the discount product used on the order line.
No session open
Configuration fields are editable.
Session active
Configuration fields lock (readonly), so settings can't be changed mid-session â you'd close the session first to edit them again.
