Nalios ReadOnly Group â Field-level readonly rules per group
Make any field readonly for specific user groups â or editable exclusively for them â across all view types, including embedded O2M & M2M lists. No development required.
Compatible with Odoo SH and On Premise versions
Key features
ð Two rule modes
Readonly for these groups â the field is locked for every user who belongs to the selected groups.
Editable only for these groups â the field is locked for everyone except the selected groups.
𧩠Fully modular & UI-driven
Rules are created from Settings ⺠Technical ⺠User Interface ⺠ReadOnly Rules. No XML, no Python, no deployment needed. Active/inactive toggle per rule.
ð All view types covered
Apply rules on Form, List, Kanban, Activity, or all views at once. Rules also propagate automatically into embedded O2M and M2M lists inside form views.
â¡ Works on any model
Target any Odoo model â native or custom â and any field type including relational fields (Many2one, One2many, Many2many). Making a relational field readonly disables the whole widget.
Configuration steps
- 1/ Install the module.
- 2/ Go to Settings ⺠Technical ⺠User Interface ⺠ReadOnly Rules.
- 3/ Create a new rule: pick the Model, the Fields to lock, the Groups to target, the View Type, and the Mode.
- 4/ Save. The rule takes effect immediately on the next view load â no restart required.
