CRM Lead WhatsApp Integration

Add a WhatsApp button to CRM leads and opportunities for instant customer communication directly from your pipeline.

Action Bar Button

A green WhatsApp button appears in the action bar of every lead and opportunity form view.

Pre-configured Message

Opens WhatsApp Web with a customizable greeting message that includes the lead name automatically.

Smart Phone Detection

Automatically uses the Mobile field from the contact. Falls back to the Phone field if mobile is empty.

Chatter History

Logs every WhatsApp conversation initiation in the chatter with timestamp for team visibility.

▶ Method action_whatsapp_send() builds the URL https://wa.me/{phone}?text={message}
▶ Returns ir.actions.act_url to open WhatsApp Web in a new browser tab

HOW IT WORKS
1 Go to CRM → Pipeline
2 Open a lead that has a phone number
3 Click the WhatsApp button in the action bar
4 WhatsApp Web opens with a pre-filled message ready to send
