Import Sale Orders
Import Sale Orders is a powerful Odoo module that allows users to quickly create multiple Sale Orders by importing data from an Excel file. This module reduces manual data entry and improves efficiency when handling bulk sales orders. A dedicated Import Sale Orders menu is provided in the Sales module. When users click the menu, an import wizard opens where they can upload an Excel file and click the Submit button to process the data.
Platform Support
The module checks whether the customer (partner) exists in the system. If the customer is not available, users can enable the Create Partner boolean option to automatically create the customer during the import process. If this option is disabled and the partner does not exist, the system will raise a validation error when the Submit button is clicked. The module imports data based on rows in the Excel file and automatically creates Sale Orders and Sale Order Lines. Orders are created directly using standard Odoo sales functionality without stage-based processing. This module is ideal for businesses that frequently receive order data from Excel sheets, external systems, or bulk order sources.

Import Sale Orders Menu
- A dedicated Import Sale Orders menu is available in the Sales module, allowing user to easily access the import wizard.
Excel File Upload Form
- User can open the import form and upload an Excel (.xlsx) file containing sale order data.
Simple Submit Process
- After uploading the Excel file, users can click the Submit button to start the import process.
Partner Availability Check
- During the import process, the system checks whether the customer (partner) exists in the database.
Automatic Partner Creation
- A Create Partner Boolean option is available.
- If enabled → the system automatically creates the customer if it does not exist.
Automatic Sale Order Creation
- The module automatically generates Sale Orders from the data provided in the Excel file.
Sale Order Line Creation
- Each imported order will automatically generate Sale Order Lines based on the product and quantity information in the Excel sheet.
