Product Multi Company
This module provides multi-company control for products and product variants in Odoo. It allows you to assign products to specific companies and manage access using the "Product Multi Company Access" feature. Based on the user’s role, especially for users set as "Multi Company Manager", the system controls actions like creating, updating, and mass updating product company assignments. It also enables users to switch between companies from the top-right company selector and ensures that product visibility changes according to the selected company.
Platform Support
Another key feature of this module is access restriction and UI control. It prevents unauthorized users from performing sensitive actions, such as mass updating product company data, by showing an "Access Denied" message. It also hides the "Companies" field in the product and product variant forms based on access according to manager and user level, keeping the interface clean and secure. Overall, it ensures proper separation of data between companies and maintains strict multi-company management in Odoo.

Who can manage company assignments for products?
Only users with the appropriate permissions, especially those assigned as Multi Company Manager, can create, update, or modify company assignments.

Click on Settings to navigate to the settings
In the Companies section, click on “Manage Companies.”
Click on the “New” button to create a new company.
Click on the Save button, then click on Companies to return to the Companies list view.
Click on Users & Companies, then click on Users.
Click on the user record corresponding to the account you are currently logged in with.
In the Companies section, select your desired company and set “Product Multi Company Access” to “Multi Company Manager.” Then click the Save button to save the changes.
Click on Sales to navigate to the Sales module.
Now click on "Products", then click on "Product Variants".
Now select the checkboxes for "Your Company" and "UAE", then click on the "Confirm" button.
Click on "New" to create a new product.
Create your desired product and click on the "Save" button to save it.
Select the companies as "UAE" in the newly created product, then click the Save button to save them.
Check the box for "Your Company" and click on the "Confirm" button.
Now search for your desired product and verify that it is not found in the company.
Now select the checkboxes for "Your Company" and "UAE", then click on the "Confirm" button.
Now search for your desired product, select it, click on the "Action" button, and then click on "Mass Update Product Company".
Now, in the wizard, select the company as "Your Company" and click on "Update".
At the top-right corner, click on "Your Company", select "Your Company", deselect "UAE", and then click on the "Confirm" button.
Now you can see that the currently selected company inside the product is visible.
Now click on "Products", then click on "Products".
Now click on the list view icon as shown in the image.
Now select the checkboxes for "Your Company","UAE" and "My US Company", then click on the "Confirm" button.
Now search for your desired product, select it, click on the "Action" button, and then click on "Mass Update Product Company".
Now, in the wizard, select the company as "YourCompany" and "UAE" and click on "Update".
Now select the checkboxes for "Your Company", then click on the "Confirm" button.
Now select the company as "YourCompany" and Search your recently Configure your product to see that the product not visible.
Now select the checkboxes for "Your Company","UAE" and "My US Company", then click on the "Confirm" button.
Now select "Companies" and choose "Your Company".
Click on Settings to navigate to the settings.
Click on Users & Companies, then click on Users.
set “Product Multi Company Access” to “Multi Company Manager.” Then click the Save button to save the changes.
Click on Sales to navigate to the Sales module
Now click on "Products", then click on "Product".
Check the box for "UAE" and click on the "Confirm" button.
Now Search your desire product.
Check the box for "UAE" and "My US Company" and click on the "Confirm" button.
Now search for your desired product, select it, click on the "Action" button, and then click on "Mass Update Product Company"
Now you will see a validation error: "Access Denied: Only Multi Company Manager can perform this action."
Now click on your desired product to open and navigate to product form view.
Now you can see that the "Companies" field is not visible in both the Product and Product Variant forms.
