Odoo 19 ships native AI compose in the chatter — but only on Enterprise, only with OpenAI, and only if you pay $24.90 per user per month. Community installs get nothing, and Enterprise users still pay forever for what could be a one-time purchase.
Without this module
Community users have no AI in the chatter. Enterprise users are locked into a single provider on a monthly bill. Multilingual customers stay un-served. Polishing a sent message means copy-pasting into a separate tool.
With this module
One magic-wand button on every composer and every message. Four verbs (Polish / Translate / Rewrite / Summarize). Four providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq). Translations appear under the message Twitter-style. Pay once.
What it does
Polish (grammar + tone), Translate (9 target languages), Rewrite (formal / friendly / concise / detailed), Summarize (2-3 sentences). One popover, all four.
OpenAI · Anthropic Claude · Google Gemini · Groq (free tier). Swap providers from Settings. Your key, your usage, your bill — no relay.
Translate or Summarize on a sent message and the result appears inline under it, like Twitter / X "See translation". RTL-aware. Dismiss with a click.
Optional toggle: let the AI see the active record (model, partner, amount, dates). Every field is read with the user’s own ACLs — never sudo(), never field-group bypass.
Admin caps calls per user per day. Counter resets at midnight UTC. Predictable API spend even when half the team discovers the magic wand.
Nothing is sent until a user clicks an AI verb. No background calls, no chatter scraping. Disclosure built into the settings page itself.

From compose to translate, all inside the chatter you already use.
One button, four verbs. Click the magic-wand on the chatter composer. Pick Polish, Translate, Rewrite or Summarize. The result replaces your draft — review and send.
AI on every message. Hover any sent message in the chatter to see the magic-wand. Summarize a long thread, or translate a customer’s reply — without leaving the form.
Inline translation strip. The translated text appears under the original message, modeled on the Twitter / X «See translation» pattern. RTL-aware. Dismiss with a click.
Dedicated settings tab. Pick a provider, paste your key, pick a model. The Model dropdown only shows models matching the active provider. Privacy block visible alongside Provider — never hidden.
Optional record context, ACL-strict. Flip the toggle and the AI sees the active record — partner, amount, state, dates — for 10 chatter-active models. Every field goes through Odoo’s standard read() with the user’s own ACLs. Hidden data stays hidden.
Available in 9 Languages
Button labels, verb names and settings copy follow the user’s Odoo language. The Translate verb itself targets any of these 9 languages.

Installation
1. Download from the Odoo App Store.
2. Extract to your Odoo addons directory.
3. Apps → Update Apps List → Install AI Chatter Composer.
4. Settings → AI Chatter Composer → pick a provider, paste your API key, save.
