You have a top customer, an active project's main task, the vendor you're negotiating with this quarter. You open them constantly — and every time, Odoo makes you search for them again. Pinned Records lets you star any form and gives you a personal navbar dropdown for the records that matter to your week.
Without this module
Open the Sales menu. Search for "Acme Corp." Click the result. Hop to a sale order. Need that customer again an hour later? Search again. Five times a day, every day.
With this module
Open Acme Corp once and click the star. From then on, the thumbtack icon in the navbar drops down a list with Acme on it. One click and you're back.
What it does
A pin star sits in the form header. Click to pin, click to unpin. Filled means pinned, outline means not — and it works on any record in Odoo.
A thumbtack icon next to the user menu opens your pinned list, with a small badge showing the count. Click any entry to jump straight to that record.
Pin as many as 20 records. Once full, pinning a new one drops the oldest. A per-entry unpin lets you curate the list by hand any time.
Sale orders, invoices, products, contacts, projects, tasks, your own custom models — one list holds them all side by side, each labelled so you know what it is.
Your pins are saved to your Odoo account and follow you to any browser or computer you log into. Each person sees only their own list — no one else can see what you pinned.
Only real business records get pinned — user-profile pages and pop-up dialogs are skipped, and unsaved drafts are never tracked. No configuration, no admin toggles.
How it works
Open any record — a customer, a sale order, a product, a task. A star button now sits in the form header next to the record's actions. Click it to pin the record.
A thumbtack icon in the top navbar drops down your pinned list, with a badge showing how many you have kept. Click any entry to jump straight back to that record.
Curate freely: unpin a single entry, or clear the whole list. Keep up to 20 — the oldest drops off when you pin a twenty-first. Your pins are saved to your account and are there on every device you log into.

Star a record on its form, then jump back to it any time from the navbar thumbtack dropdown.

Honest scope
Pinned Records is your own quick-access list. It does not share pins between users, does not create public bookmarks, and does not change who can see or open a record — everyone keeps their own private set.
Your pins are stored on your own Odoo server against your user account, protected so no one else can see or open them. Log in from another computer, browser or a private window and your pinned list is right there — it follows you, not the machine.

Installation
1. Download from the Odoo App Store.
2. Extract to your Odoo addons directory.
3. Apps → Update Apps List → search "Pinned Records" → Install.
4. Open any record. Click the outline star in the form header. Done.
