This module enhances Odoo search functionality by providing flexible word-order search capabilities. It adds three search modes to list views and Many2one fields: Default (standard Odoo search using exact keyword), Any word (match records containing any of the words), and All words (match records containing every word). 1) Product Form — Conference Chair
The product form showing Conference Chair with its complete details including name, internal reference, and other product information. This is the product that will be used to demonstrate the flexible search functionality.
2) Default Search — No Results for Reversed Keywords
When searching for "Chair Conference" (the reversed order of the actual product name "Conference Chair"), the default Odoo search returns no results. This demonstrates the limitation of standard search that requires exact keyword matching.
3) Search Mode Dropdown — Three Options
The search mode dropdown menu in the search panel provides three options: Default — standard Odoo search using the exact keyword, Any word — match records that contain any of the words, and All words — match records that contain every word. This dropdown enables flexible search behavior.
4) Any Word Mode — OR Logic Search
With Any word mode selected, searching for "Chair Conference" returns the Conference Chair product. This mode uses OR logic to match records containing any of the search terms, regardless of their order in the data.
5) All Words Mode — AND Logic Search
With All words mode selected, searching for "Chair Conference" also returns the Conference Chair product. This mode uses AND logic to match records containing all search terms, even if their order differs from the search query.
