What does this module provide?
This module adds a ⭐ star icon to the systray (top bar) that opens a quick access dropdown. From any screen, click "Add Current" to save it to your personal favorites list. Navigate to any saved screen instantly with one click. You can drag & drop to reorder your favorites, and set any item as your Home Screen — that screen will open automatically every time you log in. Each user has their own independent favorites list. No configuration required — just install and start bookmarking your most-used screens.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Systray Star Icon
A ⭐ star icon appears in the top bar (systray). Click it to open the quick access dropdown where all your favorite screens are listed. Use Alt+Q as a keyboard shortcut.
One-Click Add Current Screen
Navigate to any menu screen and click "Add Current" in the dropdown to instantly save it to your favorites. The module auto-detects the current menu — no manual setup needed.
Instant Navigation
Click any favorite in the dropdown to navigate directly to that screen. No more searching through menus — jump to your most-used screens in one click.
Home Screen on Login
Set any favorite as your Home Screen. That screen will automatically open every time you log in — perfect for dashboards or daily-use screens.
Drag & Drop Reordering
Reorder your favorites by dragging and dropping them within the dropdown. Your preferred order is saved automatically and persists across sessions.
Per-User Favorites
Each user has their own independent favorites list. Your bookmarks are private and won't affect other users. Security rules ensure users can only access their own records.
1) Quick Access Star in the Systray
A ⭐ star icon is added to the systray (top bar). Clicking it opens the Quick Access dropdown where you can see your favorites, add the current screen, or manage your list. You can also press Alt+Q to toggle the dropdown.
2) Add Current Screen to Favorites
Navigate to any menu screen, then open the Quick Access dropdown and click "Add Current". The current screen is automatically detected and added to your favorites list with a success notification.
3) Favorites List with Quick Navigation
All your saved screens appear in the dropdown as a clean list. Click any item to navigate directly to that screen. Each item shows the menu name and full menu path for easy identification.
4) Set Home Screen for Auto-Login
Click the 🏠 home icon next to any favorite to set it as your Home Screen. The selected screen will automatically open every time you log in. The home item is visually highlighted in the list.
5) Drag & Drop to Reorder
Use the drag handle (≡) on the left of each item to reorder your favorites by dragging and dropping. The new order is saved automatically to the server.
6) Remove Favorites & Manage List
Click the ✕ button to remove any screen from your favorites. You can also manage your Quick Access list from Settings > Technical > User Interface > Quick Access for full control with a list/form view.
How do I add a screen to Quick Access?
Navigate to the screen you want to bookmark, click the ⭐ star icon in the top bar, then click "Add Current". The screen is instantly added to your favorites list.
How do I set a home screen?
Open the Quick Access dropdown, hover over the favorite you want as your home screen, and click the 🏠 home icon. That screen will open automatically on your next login.
Can I reorder my favorites?
Yes. Each item has a drag handle (≡) on the left. Drag and drop items to rearrange them. The new order is saved automatically.
Do other users see my favorites?
No. Each user has their own private favorites list. Security rules ensure that users can only see and manage their own Quick Access records.
Can I remove a screen from Quick Access?
Yes. Hover over any item in the dropdown and click the ✕ button to remove it. You can also manage your list from Settings > Technical > User Interface > Quick Access.
Is there a keyboard shortcut?
Yes. Press Alt+Q to toggle the Quick Access dropdown at any time.
Does this module require any configuration?
No. Install the module and the star icon appears immediately in the top bar. No settings or menus to configure — works out of the box.
Which Odoo editions and deployment modes are supported?
The module is compatible with Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise on On-Premise, Odoo Online, and Odoo.sh. It depends only on the Web module — no extra dependencies.
