What does this module provide?
This module enables shared user accounts with PIN authentication for multiple employees. It allows multiple employees to share the same internal user account while maintaining individual accountability. Enable shared accounts from Settings, configure shared employees on each user, and implement secure PIN-based login. KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Shared Account Support
Enable shared accounts from Settings to allow multiple employees to use the same internal user account with individual PIN authentication.
Employee PIN Authentication
Each employee can have their own PIN code for secure authentication. Configure employee PINs from employee settings for enhanced security.
Two-Step Login Process
First authenticate with user credentials, then select employee and enter PIN for individual accountability while sharing the same user account.
Chatter Attribution
All system actions, Chatter messages, and Discuss communications are attributed to the specific employee who performed them, not the shared user account.
Email Tracking
Emails sent from the system are attributed to the logged-in employee, ensuring proper accountability and traceability for all communications.
Seamless Integration
Works seamlessly with existing Odoo workflows. No configuration required — just install and start using shared accounts with PIN authentication.
1) Enable Share Account Feature
Enable the "Share Account" option from user settings to allow multiple employees to share the same internal user account. Configure which employees can access this shared account through the Shared Employees field.

2) Set Employee PIN Code
Configure a secure PIN code for each employee from their employee settings. This PIN will be used for authentication when logging in through the shared user account.

3) User Login - First Step
The login process begins with standard user authentication. Enter the shared user account credentials (username and password) to initiate the two-step login process.

4) Employee Login - Second Step
After successful user authentication, the system redirects to the employee login screen. Here, employees who are configured to use this shared account can proceed to the next authentication step.

5) Employee PIN Authentication
Select the employee name from the dropdown list and enter their PIN code that was previously configured in employee settings. This completes the two-step authentication process.

6) System Actions Attributed to Employee
Once logged in, all system actions, record creations, and modifications are attributed to the authenticated employee, not the shared user account. This ensures individual accountability within the shared account environment.

7) Switch Between Employees
Easily switch between different employees using the same shared account. Each login session maintains the identity of the currently authenticated employee, allowing multiple users to work simultaneously.

8) Chatter Tracking with Employee Attribution
All changes and updates are tracked in the Chatter with the employee's name. For example, when a product is added to an order, the Chatter shows the change was made by the currently logged-in employee, ensuring complete traceability.

How do I enable shared accounts for a user?
Go to the user settings and enable the "Share Account" option. Then add employees to the Shared Employees field to grant them access to this user account.
How do I set up PIN codes for employees?
Navigate to the employee settings and configure a PIN code for each employee. This PIN will be used for the second step of authentication when logging in through a shared account.
How does the login process work with shared accounts?
The login process has two steps: First, authenticate with the shared user account credentials (username and password). Then, select your employee name and enter your PIN code to complete the authentication.
How are actions attributed to individual employees?
All system actions, record creations, modifications, Chatter messages, and emails are automatically attributed to the authenticated employee, not the shared user account, ensuring individual accountability.
Can multiple employees use the same shared account simultaneously?
Yes. Multiple employees can log in using the same shared user account. Each session maintains the identity of the specific employee who logged in, allowing for individual tracking and attribution.
How do I track changes made by employees using shared accounts?
All changes are tracked in the Chatter with the employee's name. You can see which employee made specific changes, added records, or performed actions within the system.
Does this module require any special configuration?
No. Install the module and start using shared accounts immediately. Just enable the Share Account option for users and set PIN codes for employees to begin using the feature.
Which Odoo editions and deployment modes are supported?
The module is compatible with Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise on On-Premise, Odoo Online, and Odoo.sh. It integrates seamlessly with standard Odoo authentication mechanisms.
