Short Description
Distributes payroll expenses across projects proportionally to employee timesheets and ensures accurate analytic accounting of salary costs.
Solution Overview
In project-driven companies, employees often work on multiple projects at the same time. However, standard payroll accounting does not reflect how working time is actually distributed, which leads to salary costs being posted to a single analytic account.
This module introduces a project-based payroll distribution mechanism driven by timesheets. When payroll distribution by projects is enabled on the employee contract, salary expenses are allocated across projects proportionally to reported working time. Additionally, the module supports payroll calculation strictly by reported hours when this option is activated on the salary structure.
Key Features
- Adds a Payroll by Projects option on the employee contract that:
- displays a Projects tab on the payslip with all reported timesheet hours grouped by project and automatically calculated distribution ratios,
- distributes payroll journal entries proportionally to the reported time per project upon payslip confirmation,
- Distributes payroll journal entries proportionally across projects based on timesheet hours:
- Applies project-based distribution per each salary rule during payslip confirmation.
- Preserves standard salary rule formulas while distributing resulting amounts by project.
-
Implements analytic priority logic:
- uses project analytics when salary rules do not define analytic accounts,
- applies analytic accounts defined on specific salary rules without project-based distribution.
-
Supports payroll calculation strictly by reported time when both Payroll by Projects
and Timesheet-Based Payroll Accrual options are enabled:
- Automatically links timesheets with work entries to calculate salary amounts based on reported hours.
- Includes four default salary structures for individual entrepreneurs (FOP) with Net and Gross calculation approaches.
