Instead of rigid account-level cost allocation, Profit Zone introduces flexible zones — configurable financial dimensions that can represent departments, projects, branches, product lines, regions, or any custom business unit — and equips each zone with real-time budget intelligence, variance analysis, and a health scoring system.

Profit Zone solves the core challenge every finance team faces: knowing which part of the business is burning budget before it's too late. With zone-based budget allocation, approval workflows, automatic transaction capture from journal entries, and visual health indicators, managers can monitor zone health at a glance and act with precision.

Installation
- Copy the odnt_profit_zone folder into your Odoo custom addons directory.
- Restart the Odoo server.
- Activate Developer Mode (Settings → Technical → Activate Developer Mode).
- Navigate to Apps, click Update Apps List.
- Search for Profit Zone and click Install.
Configuration
After installation:
- Go to Profit Zone → Configuration → Zone Tags to set up your custom classification tags.
- Navigate to Profit Zone → Profit Zones → All Zones and create your first zone.
- Activate the zone and create a Budget Allocation for the desired period.
- Submit the allocation for manager approval.
- Once approved, start tagging journal entries and invoices with the zone.
- Monitor health on the Dashboard in real time.
