Part 1: General Setup & Report Printing
Steps for setting up printers for invoices, delivery slips, purchase orders, and any Odoo report.
Step 1: Install & Run the Print Agent
Install the Odoo Print Agent on your computer.
Step 2: Pair Agent with Odoo
Go to Direct Print > Agents, create an agent, and enter the pairing code from the app.
Step 3: Successful Connection
Once paired, the agent turns green and lists available printers automatically.
Step 4: Configure Printers
Under Direct Print > Printers, adjust tray, paper size, and printer defaults.
Step 5: Map Reports to Printers
Use Report Mapping to route documents automatically:
- Invoices â LaserJet
- Shipping Labels â Zebra Printer
- Picking Slips â Warehouse Printer
Step 6: Monitor Print Jobs
Track print job progress under Job Queue: Pending, Printing, Done, Error.
Part 2: Point of Sale (POS)
Step 1: Enable Direct Print in POS
Enable âDirect Printâ in POS > Configuration > Settings.
Step 2: POS Printer Settings
Configure paper size (58mm/80mm) and cash drawer support.
Step 3: Cash Drawer Restrictions
Limit drawer opening to specific payment types (e.g., cash only).
Step 4: Kitchen Routes
Route food and drink orders to specific kitchen printers.
