This button generates a secure authorization URL with a random state parameter for CSRF protection. The merchant is redirected to Intuit's login page where they authorize the Odoo application. Upon successful authorization, Intuit returns an authorization code which the module automatically exchanges for access and refresh tokens. The module then manages automatic token refreshes, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity without manual intervention.
Can I initiate refunds from Odoo directly?
Yes! With refund support enabled, merchants can issue full or partial refunds directly on the Odoo Payment form. An API call is made to the QuickBooks Charges/Refunds endpoint using the stored charge ID, and Odoo creates a corresponding negative amount refund transaction linked to the original sale order.
Does this module support multi-website installations?
Absolutely. You can publish and customize the QuickBooks payment provider independently on different Odoo websites in a multi-website setup. The module also supports separate sandbox and production environments.
Which currencies are supported?
This module supports transaction currencies in USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, AUD, and INR, which aligns with the QuickBooks Payments API supported currency scope.
What happens when the access token expires?
The module automatically detects token expiration before making API calls and triggers an automatic token refresh using the OAuth 2.0 refresh token grant flow. The connection status indicator in the provider configuration shows "Connected (Token Refreshing)" during this process. If the refresh token also expires, merchants are prompted to reconnect via the "Connect to QuickBooks" button.
