Stock Accounting Analytic Distribution on Journal Entries | Stock Moves to Analytic Accounts (Journal Items)

This module enables configurable analytic accounting integration in Inventory operations. Users can choose whether to apply Analytic Account or Analytic Distribution from Inventory Settings and define whether analytic values are managed at the Picking level or Move level. Based on the selected configuration, analytic data is automatically transferred to generated journal items upon validation of receipts and deliveries, ensuring accurate financial tracking and seamless integration with stock valuation entries.

This module extends Odoo standard inventory accounting flow to automatically pass the Analytic Account and Analytic Distribution to the inventory valuation journal entries generated by Odoo. When inventory valuation is set to Perpetual and stock moves generate accounting entries (for incoming, outgoing, or internal transfers), Odoo creates the journal entries based on the product category costing method and the stock valuation account configured on the stock location. With this configuration in place, the system ensures that whenever Odoo generates inventory valuation journal entries, the corresponding journal lines are enriched with the relevant analytic account and analytic distribution. This allows stock-related costs to be properly reflected in analytic reporting and project/job costing, without changing the standard Odoo valuation logic.

  • Navigate to Inventory > Configuration > Settings, and enable Manage Analytic Entry Selections in Inventory Operations.
