POS Product Display
POS Product Display extends the standard Odoo Point of Sale interface by offering a more flexible and informative way to browse products. While the default Odoo POS primarily focuses on a card-based product layout, this module introduces a fully configurable List View alongside the traditional Grid View, allowing businesses to choose the most suitable display format for their operations. Administrators can define the default product view for each POS configuration and optionally allow cashiers to switch between Grid and List views directly from the POS interface. When view switching is enabled, the selected preference is stored locally in the user's browser, providing a personalized experience across POS sessions. The List View offers extensive customization options, allowing businesses to choose which product information should be displayed. Users can configure columns such as product image, product name, internal reference, barcode, product type, Unit of Measure, POS category, taxes, pricing, on-hand quantity, and forecast quantity. Image sizes can also be customized to suit different screen sizes and operational requirements. The module integrates with Odoo Inventory to display warehouse-specific stock quantities directly within the POS, helping cashiers make informed sales decisions and avoid selling unavailable products. It is fully compatible with both desktop and mobile POS sessions, providing a consistent and responsive user experience across devices.
Key Features
Configurable Product View
The module allows administrators to configure the default product display for each POS session by selecting either the traditional Grid View or the enhanced List View. This flexibility enables businesses to choose the interface that best suits their sales operations and product catalog.
View Switching in POS
Users can optionally enable view switching, allowing cashiers to toggle between Grid View and List View directly from the POS burger menu. The selected preference is automatically stored in the browser, ensuring that users continue working with their preferred layout in future POS sessions.
Customizable List View Columns
The List View provides extensive configuration options, allowing businesses to display only the information that is relevant to their operations. Administrators can enable or disable columns such as product image, product name, product type, internal reference, barcode, Unit of Measure, POS category, taxes, sales price, on-hand quantity, and forecast quantity. This creates a clean and efficient interface tailored to business requirements.
Flexible Product Image Display
The application supports multiple image sizes within the List View, allowing businesses to select small, medium, or large product thumbnails. This flexibility helps optimize screen space while maintaining clear product identification for cashiers.
Real-Time Stock Visibility
The module integrates with Odoo Inventory to display both on-hand and forecast stock quantities directly within the POS. Stock information is retrieved based on the configured warehouse and source location, helping users verify product availability before completing sales transactions.
Warehouse-Based Inventory Integration
Inventory quantities displayed in the POS are specific to the warehouse configured for the active POS session. This ensures that stock information accurately reflects the inventory available at the selected selling location.
Enhanced Product Information
The List View provides comprehensive product details within a single screen, allowing users to quickly access information such as pricing, barcode, product category, Unit of Measure, taxes, and internal references. This reduces product lookup time and improves operational efficiency during busy sales periods.
