Installation & Setup

1. Install the module: Go to Apps -> Search for "oe_direct_print" -> Click Install
2. Configure permissions: Assign Direct Print PRO access to users who will manage printers and rules
3. Initial configuration: Go to Direct Print PRO -> Printers and register your PDF and ZPL printers with host and port

Basic Usage

1. Set up print rules: Go to Direct Print PRO -> Print Rules and create rules to assign printers by user, document type, company, or workstation
2. Enable automated scenarios: Go to Direct Print PRO -> Print Scenarios and enable the triggers you need (transfer validation, order confirmation, etc.)
3. Install desktop client: Deploy the lightweight desktop print client on each workstation that needs to receive print jobs from Odoo
4. Manual printing: Use the print buttons on stock picking, sale order, invoice, and manufacturing order forms for one-click printing
5. Batch printing: Use the batch print wizard to select multiple records and print all at once

Important Notes

Requires the desktop print client installed on each workstation that will receive print jobs. The client polls Odoo via REST API and must have network access to your Odoo instance. Tested on Odoo 16 Community and Enterprise.
