Key Features
Get a stock warning in chatter when ordered quantity is higher than available stock at confirmation
Automatic stock check on confirmation
When a sale order is confirmed, each storable product line is validated against the current on-hand quantity.
Logs warning in order chatter
If ordered quantity is greater than available quantity, the module posts a clear chatter notification on the sale order.
Includes ordered vs available quantities
The alert message includes product name, ordered quantity, and available stock so users can act immediately.
Only checks storable products
Service and non-storable products are skipped, so notifications remain relevant for inventory-managed items.
No interruption in confirmation flow
The sale order is still confirmed as usual; the module provides visibility by logging a warning instead of blocking operations.
Works per sale order line
Each order line is evaluated independently, allowing users to identify exactly which product is short in stock.
Simple and lightweight logic
The feature extends only sale order confirmation and relies on standard Odoo stock fields without complex setup.
Compatible with standard Sales & Stock
Built on top of sale_management and stock, making it easy to use in regular Odoo sales workflows.
Helps proactive stock communication
Sales teams and managers can instantly see shortage warnings in chatter before dispatch and procurement steps are planned.
