Installation & Setup

  1. Install the module: Go to Apps -> Search for "oe_seo_url_redirect" -> Click Install
  2. Configure permissions: Navigate to Settings -> Users & Companies -> Grant access to website administrators who will manage SEO URLs
  3. Initial configuration: Open Website -> SEO -> Settings to configure default URL suffix, category hierarchy, and auto-redirect behavior

Basic Usage

  1. Create redirects: Go to Website -> SEO -> URL Redirects and click Create. Enter source URL, destination URL, and choose 301 (Permanent) or 302 (Temporary)
  2. Bulk rewrite URLs: Go to Website -> SEO -> Bulk URL Rewrite. Select products or categories, choose URL suffix and category hierarchy options, then apply
  3. Monitor 404 errors: Go to Website -> SEO -> 404 Monitor to see all logged 404 responses. Click "Create Redirect" on any entry to fix it instantly
  4. Check missing URL keys: Go to Website -> SEO -> Missing URL Keys to find products and categories without SEO keys. Click "Generate Keys" to create them in bulk

Important Notes

This module integrates with Odoo's native website.rewrite model and extends product.template and product.public.category. It works with or without website_sale installed -- features degrade gracefully when ecommerce is not present.
