User guide

Install the module and click any backend image to instantly open a clear full-size preview without leaving your current screen.

1. Install the module

  1. Open Apps, remove the Apps filter, and search Image Preview Widget.
  2. Click Install. The module depends only on standard web.

2. Open any record with an image

  1. Open a record that contains an image, for example a Product, Contact, or Employee.
  2. Locate the image thumbnail shown on the form.
  3. No extra settings or widget assignment is required.

3. Click the image to preview

  1. Click the image thumbnail.
  2. A full-size preview opens in the center of the screen.
  3. The preview loads the highest available image quality automatically.

4. Close the preview

  1. Click the Close button at the top-right corner, or
  2. Click the enlarged image again to return to your form.

5. Where it works

  • Works across Odoo backend forms that use standard image fields.
  • Typical examples include products, partners/contacts, and employee photos.
