Frequently asked
Do I need a Meta Business API account?
No. The default path is a free QR scan — no Meta approval and no per-message fees. The official Meta Cloud API is available as an optional second transport if you want it.
Can I really make voice and video calls?
Yes — real WhatsApp audio and video calls are placed and answered from Odoo Discuss, with an in-app call panel and a call log. Not a click-to-dial link: the media runs in your browser through your own self-hosted service.
How many people can join a group call?
Up to 32 — you plus 31 others, which is WhatsApp's own limit. Start it from an existing WhatsApp group, or pick people ad-hoc (at least two). You can add and ring more people while the call is already running.
What is a call link, and can I control who gets in?
A shareable WhatsApp link anyone can use to join your call. Preview who is already on it before joining, and switch on approval so callers wait in a waiting room until you admit or deny each one.
Does it work on Odoo Community?
Yes, on both Community and Enterprise (Odoo 19). It is self-hosted — your WhatsApp session stays on your own server.
Can I connect more than one number?
Yes — multi-account is built in, with per-agent conversation visibility and per-account access control.
